Food and Water Stations and Food Stores

These photos include locations of the main food and water stations in the cats' home. There are more locations, but this is just to show that there are and always have been multiple food and water sources throughout the house. Notice that my cats were being fed a grain-free option. Would someone who is neglecting their cats and is unable to provide for them bother to feed expensive grain-free food? Or even canned cat food?

Just let me say that I have never seen a cat guard a bowl. Never. The only time I've seen cats shoo each other away from bowls is when one is already eating and doesn't want someone else nosing in. The cat who loses that tap out just moves to another bowl. There is an order in a cat community and they all have to find their place and take their turn. An interesting behavior is how almost exclusively adult cats allow kittens to eat. So younger cats are spoiled and can be aggressive in their ones and twos as they learn they can't always get their way. It's just normal cat behavior. But nobody is ever prevented from eating. If this were true, you would see cats slinking out from hiding to eat from bowls when nobody is around. You would see cats giving a wide berth to protected bowls. You would see cats literally sit and sleep by bowls. You would see a cat run out to chase other cats away from their bowl. I'm not saying it can't happen in other situations, I'm just saying it doesn't happen in this one and the state shouldn't assume it does.

There are also photos of the food supplies present on 11/5/19, including one photo the state took of the cat food bin with the top open and two photos the state took of the garbage can food bins in the chicken coop with the tops open. It's interesting how the state took photos of bins with food in them, but took only one photo of the many bags of food. So, the last three photos of the bins were taken by the state while the rest were taken by me.
