Introduction

Most of us know the milk we buy in the store comes from a cow. But did you know many people also drink milk that comes from sheep, goats, and camels? Camels? Why yes! A tribe in the north of Kenya, called the Rendille, virtually live on camel's milk, and sheep's milk creates the famous Roquefort cheese of France. Buffalo and yaks can also be a source of milk for drinking. Milk is totally cool. No kidding! In this farm to market, we'll follow the trail of cow's milk from the farm to the grocer's shelf.
