Aodghan's (eh-gawn) Records

Aodghan is among the missing.

Aodghan is a one-year-old silver and white tabby male. He actually has four coat colors: black, silver, white and cream, which is highly unusual in a male cat. He is a very handsome cat. He is one of three cats born with cerebellar hypoplasia. His condition is mild. He is a little clumsy and his tremors are not noticeable unless he's excited. He gets excited when he wants attention and especially to be held, so this is the only time I've seen his tremors. Once you have him securely held and are petting him, he relaxes and stops trembling. He's like a puppy who just wiggles all over until you pick him up and hold him. He's just a sweetheart. The state has incorrectly labeled him a feral. He's just highly sensitive and has been made to be extremely afraid by the state's actions. At home he was living with other males his age. The idea that these could be feral cats living in a contained space is ridiculous. How did I get them in there? How do I keep them from getting out when I open the door? How do I manage to care for them every day? It doesn't even make sense. Aodghan has also been incorrectly treated with clindamycin to cure his tremors because the state's bias and prejudice has led them to believe he has toxoplasmosis when it makes more sense that he has cerebellar hypoplasia. Again, our own vet never even suggested anything other than cerebellar hypoplasia. He knew right away what these cats have.

You can see on the log that C64 is described as orange/white while C63 is described as grey/white, so those are backwards.

Aodghan Log

On the triage, they are described as aged 4-8 years, but they are 1 year old.

Aodghan Triage

As described in the article Faulty Interpretations Lead to Wrong Conclusions, there are two copies of the 11/6/19 exam forms, one is incomplete and one is the original. The note below was inserted into the paperwork instead of the incomplete copy.

Aodghan Exam Incomplete

This is the original exam. Notice they have incorrectly labeled him as feral.

Aodghan Exam

Notice here they say they are unable to examine him, that his tremors are severe and he can't be picked up. This is because he is scared to death. He is experiencing hair loss. Again, because he is constantly stressed. They have unnecessarily treated him with clindamycin. Naturally this has had no effect since his condition is not treatable. It is bias to assume he has an illness caused by a dirty environment. A single phone call to his owner would have provided the correct information regarding this cat's condition. The cure for this cat's severe tremors is simple, just bring him home. It's important that you understand the state is intentionally causing this cat to tremor by not taking him back to the place where, and person with whom, he felt safe and comfortable.

Aodghan Falls Road

Aodghan has now been in the state's custody for four months. He has come down with a urinary tract infection and his ears are full of debris. And again they keep giving Convenia. Plus they have to sedate him to do an exam.
